This is something I stumbled upon while in Indianapolis, Indiana and I think it’s super cool. According to their website (https://www.thepubliccollection.org/):

The Public Collection is a public art and literacy project consisting of artist-designed book share stations, developed to increase access to books and art. The project aims to improve literacy, foster a deeper appreciation of the arts, and promote social and educational justice in our community.

How cool is that? It’s like a combination of free-little-library and art! And it helps promote literacy and art appreciation and those are both fantastic things.

While wandering downtown Indianapolis, along the White River, I found this super cute (and of course, artistic) public library.

It looks like a little wooden tunnel, with glass boxes holding books.

If you step inside, it has a history of “the evolution of reading”, which is super cool.

And there’s a sign explaining what it is and where you can find more of them. I really love this idea!

I thought this was a super fun idea that I wanted to share with you all. Does your city have anything like this? Have you ever visited one of these in Indianapolis?
