Although romance seems to be a popular poolside genre, I actually sort of like it in winter. Then you can curl up under a warm blanket with some hot cocoa nearby and read some warm hearted novels. Here are my top ten favorite cozy winter reads. Most of them are romance, but not all of them are. If I’ve written a review for the book I’ve linked to it.

1. Accidentally Hers by Jamie Beck 
   This is a super cute romance set in a ski town. What’s better than reading about snowy weather while you’re cozy inside? The whole series puts me in a wintry mood. (In a good way – I love winter!) 
2. Holiday Hook Up by Robin Neely
   Another romance – this one takes place around the holidays. This one is book four though, so maybe pick up the whole series? 
3. A Fool’s Gold Christmas by Susan Mallery
   This is the first book I read by Susan Mallery and I loved it. It is a lot cleaner than her usual stuff, and was just plain adorable. It follows a dance teacher who is in charge of planning a show for a Christmas festival, and a lawyer. 
4. The Christmas Wedding Ring by Susan Mallery 
   I just love cute, cliché, Christmas romance novels. What can I say? 
5. If You Take a Mouse to the Movies by Laura Numeroff
   I know it’s a picture book, but it’s so adorable and fun and reminds me of winter and the holidays. 
6. The Finishing School series by Gail Carriger
   If it’s chilly outside, why not stay inside and read about a finishing school for spies that is on a flying dirigible? In steampunk Victorian England, where werewolves and vampires and ghosts are openly part of society? 
7. The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa
   There are both summer and winter fairies in the book, but one of my favorite characters is a winter fairie, so I associate these books a lot with winter. This is tied for my favorite fairy series. It’s super creative and complex and the author does a fantastic job of staying true to her characters. 
8. The Chicks with Sticks Guide to Crochet by Nancy Queen and Mary Ellen O’Connell
   Okay, so this one isn’t so much a cozy read so much as a guide to create things that make all your other books cozy reads. 🙂 
9. Not Quite Dating by Catherine Bybee
   This is a super cute romance between a single mom waitress and a wealthy heir to a hotel chain. Only he’s pretending to be poor, since she’s openly a gold-digger, and he doesn’t want that type of girl. 
10. If We Were a Movie by Kelly Oram 
    This is a new adult romance between two college kids. Since I went to college in a very snowy, cozy town, this book reminds me of winter as well.
