New on the Stack May 2019

I got a library card at my (new) local library, so I actually have a couple of “new on the stack” books for this month! Here goes.

Next to each book I give a short explanation why I chose to pick up that particular book. (Clicking on the picture of each book will take you to the book’s Amazon page, through an affiliate link.)

Borrowed Physical Book from Library

Colorado by Kathleen Thompson
I just moved to Colorado (hence the lack of blog posts). Growing up in Arizona, we learned a lot about the state throughout the years, especially in fourth grade. I loved having that knowledge – but I didn’t go to school in Colorado. So it’s time to hit the books! They don’t have books about states for adults (that I could find) so I got this from the kids section.

Colorado by Jennifer Zeiger
Another book about Colorado.

Wires and Nerve Volume 1 by Marissa Meyer
I picked this up because it’s a graphic novel I’ve wanted to read for a while. However, I didn’t realize it was an extension of the Cinder universe. And since I haven’t read Cinder yet, I’ll probably hold off on reading this one.

The Magic Misfits by Neil Patrick Harris
It’s by Neil Patrick Harris. I really don’t need to know anymore. 😛 This one caught my eye while I was leaving the children’s section after picking up the Colorado books.

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh
This has been on my TBR for a while, so I picked this one up as well.

What books did you pick up this month?
